Faith Statement

We believe that:
  • There is one God in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit who are equal in substance.
  • God is sovereign in creation, revelation, redemption and final judgment.
  • The Bible, as originally given, is the inspired and infallible Word of God. It is Since the fall, the whole of humankind is sinful and guilty, and subject to God's wrath and condemnation.
  • The Lord Jesus Christ, God's incarnate Son, is fully God and fully man; he was born of a virgin; his humanity is real and sinless; he died on the cross, was raised physically from death and is now reigning over heaven and earth.
  • Sinful human beings are redeemed from the guilt, penalty and power of sin through the sacrificial death of their representative and substitute, Jesus Christ, the only mediator between them and God.
  • Those who believe in Christ are forgiven their sins. They are justified and reconciled with God eternally through the righteousness of Christ which is imputed to them. This justification is God's act of grace, received solely through faith.
  • The Holy Spirit alone applies the work of Christ effectively to individual sinners, enabling them to repent of their sin, receive the gift of faith in Jesus Christ and to follow Him.
  • The Holy Spirit lives in and with all those who have been reborn spiritually. He alone is the believer’s power of new life as He continues to sanctify them.
  • The one holy universal church contains the Body of Christ, of which all regenerated believers belong.
  • The Lord Jesus Christ will return in person, to judge everyone, to execute God's just condemnation on those who have not repented and to receive the redeemed to eternal glory.
